Vision as Your Superpower

“Without vision the people perish.”

— Proverbs 29:18

Everything is impacted by our internal vision. Knowing what we are thinking helps us to better use our thoughts with awareness. When we are aware of our feelings, we can use those same thoughts to meet our needs. When the qualities of our thoughts are affirming we can swim with the current, which is what we are designed to do.

Did you know that we have about 42 thoughts per minute? And of these thoughts around 80% are negative and 90% are repetitive! So, it is a habit to think in certain ways. Repetitive thoughts that are negative do not support the type of life we want to co-create. It’s why often in New Thought we say “what we think about, we bring about.”

Our external world is a product of our thoughts, and a mind that is ill at ease needs you to parent it and give it a rest. Once we learn that our feelings are a barometer of a need that has not been met, we understand that identifying those feelings is an important practice in creating our vision.

Learning to identify your feelings is an important practice in creating your vision.

How do we identify feelings?

Whatever is going on inside is creating what is outside. We sometimes can put all of our energies into changing an external world (focused on effect) instead of our inner world, without realizing that we draw to us what we focus on. Learning to accept all of ourselves by removing blame, shame, and condemnation is an important step in the process of co-creating a life you love.

Face Everything and Rise (FEAR)

A key concept to understand is to see how fear and action are linked. Fear can be a driving force behind many decisions. The good, the bad, and the in-between show up in everybody’s life, but fear can be an emotion that is calling us to action. When fear shows up for me, I use it to get into action or to help me see if there is something I need to take action on.

External fears usually connect to issues like shelter, danger, illness, aging, car accidents, survival, etc. But this fear can stagnate you and hold you back. We can categorize our external internal fears. Sometimes external fears exist that we cannot fix. Internal fears usually connect to issues like memory.

Staying present in our lives and keeping our mind clear of negative thoughts at all times is vital to having clear vision.

We can still have the memory of something fearful from our lives, but we can remove the fear attached to the memory. Working towards re-visualizing our fears can help us to create a different reaction to an event or circumstance.

Pause to Get a Clear Perspective

We all know how unwanted news can be scary and disappointing. Remember to stand still and let time do its thing. Staying present in our lives and keeping our mind clear of negative thoughts at all times is vital to having clear vision.

Take the time to journal and notice what causes your mood to elevate and lower. Imagination is my play zone with a purpose of creating new energy. When I am doing this I am subduing my ego, and in this state the scales fall away from my eyes. I enter a state of calm and clarity and the universe will support me. I invite you to take some of the steps outlined and see how you too can use your thoughts to create your vision!
